Leighton Contractors has been awarded a contract by Chevron Australia to deliver the civil and underground works package for the Gorgon Project valued at more than $800 million.
John Holland has been awarded a $276 million marine contract which forms part of the early works for Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert Port B Project in Western Australia’s north-west.
Rio Tinto will invest $240 million to implement Dampier Port expansion works.
The Oakajee Port will include common user infrastructure (channel, breakwater, turning basin, navigational aids, provision for tug and pilot boat pens, port administration offices and roads and utilities) funded by the State and Commonwealth governments and private use infrastructure (at least one Cape Class iron ore berth, as well as associated materials handling equipment and rail infrastructure).
