The Role
SRG Global is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to drive growth and lead technical specification activities within our Engineered Products Division in Queensland.
This pivotal role will involve managing client relationships, delivering technical presentations, providing engineering advice, conducting site product training, and coordinating all aspects of the sales process across the QLD market.
We offer flexible working arrangements as this role will require regular client/site visits.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a driven and capable individual who combines technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a hunger for growth. The following attributes will set you up for success:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering (strongly preferred)
Your engineering background will enable you to confidently engage in technical conversations with engineers and clients. - Proven experience in sales within the construction or building products sector. You should have a track record of supplying products to commercial building and/or civil infrastructure projects, ideally with an established network of clients in Queensland Australia.
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset. We're seeking someone who thrives on business development. Someone who can independently identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive long-term value for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with management in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
- Manages an assigned sales area and product lines to maximise sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales prices in consultation with Management.
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams for assigned territory.
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in the assigned company’s products.
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
- Implements all sales policies, practices and procedures.
- Collaborates with Management to develop sales strategies to improve market share in target product lines.
- Interprets short and long-term effects on sales strategies and operating profit.
- Improves company image by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
- Collaborates with Products team members to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
