Northline has successfully completed the global freight shipments for one of Australia’s biggest solar farms as the end to end logistics contractor for the $277 million 255MW Sunraysia Solar PV project. The final shipments of solar panels were delivered to site by Northline on 13thJuly.
Appointed by the ASX-listed Decmil Group, the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project, Northline has transported more than 2,100 containers over 26 weeks from China and the USA to the site located near Balranald in New South Wales.
We’ve provided an end to end solution incorporating international sea freight, customs clearance, wharf cartage, warehousing, inventory management, quality control and interstate linehaul. Freight included photovoltaic panels, trackers and pile for the project.
The Sunraysia Solar Farm is owned and operated by both John Laing and Maoneng Australia and managed by Maoneng Australia. It’s expected to generate approximately 529GWh of energy per year when commissioned; which is the equivalent to powering up to 50,000 households.
