Your new company have a market leading technology that is based on the oxidation of biological processes within the human body. The technology decontaminates and disinfects water using limited amounts of energy and chemicals.

The technology is currently being used within the Commercial & Industrial sector, construction industry, Disaster relief & remote communities, and industrial waste water.

They currently have an office in Sydney and Auckland and are conservatively growing at an impressive rate.

The Role

A new position has opened up for a Technical Sales Engineer to assist the company keep up with their high level of growth.

Reporting to the Sales Director you will be part of an innovative and motivated team and assist in technical sales areas of the business to drive profitability, and overall market growth in Australia and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities can be divided into 2 core components; Sales & Engineering

Sales

  • Assessment of tender viability & Tender preparation
  • Proposal writing. Including ROI calculations, PFDs and executive summaries
  • Developing H&S plans, quality systems, service contracts etc.
  • Lead qualification and assisting in formulating value propositions
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders by answering technical requests and providing technology information on the water treatment systems
  • Support the sales team with:
  1. technical qualification of leads and developing value propositions.
  2. product manuals and other supporting technical product information
  3. international joint venture partnerships

Engineering

  • Developing process concept designs based on application requirements
  • Developing process flow diagrams, plot plans and P&IDs using drafting software
  • Costing & estimation and producing bill of materials
  • Building ‘product’ price lists for quick pricing
  • Conducting customer site audits and customer process assessments
  • Overseeing pilots and simple trouble shooting

Qualifications and Technical experience

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in process or chemical engineering;
  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience in the design and implementation of water treatment systems
  • Experience in the development and implementation of quality frameworks and standards (ISO, HACCP);
  • Experience in the development and implementation of H&S systems
  • Experience in the development of conceptual designs for tendering and proposal purposes
  • Experience in the preparation of PFD’s and P&ID drawings;
  • Strong technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to produce correspondence and technical reports for a wide range of audiences including technical industry paper, and sales and marketing information
