Technical Sales Engineer

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Technical Sales Engineer to support growth in our contracting and manufacturing projects. The position is based in Naval Base, WA and will encompass occasional travel. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role will support both sales, technical engineering and operational project activities. This role will reward a dynamic and flexible applicant who is interested in seeing projects progress from a lead through to delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Support the sales team with preparation of project and equipment quotes/tenders,
  • Assist the Business Development Manager in identifying new opportunities, 
  • Develop technical sales solutions for efficient and innovative delivery of products and services,
  • Handle technical part and equipment sales enquires,
  • Develop drawings and issue work packs for production,
  • Work with workshop and site supervisors to deliver successful project outcomes,

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • At least 3 years of technical sales engineering experience, 
  • Engineering estimating and planning experience, 
  • Technical drawing abilities (SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD),
  • Technical experience with fluid systems (pump/valve/piping assemblies) desirable,
  • Project planning and risk assessment experience,
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills,
  • Ability to work autonomously with good time management skills,
  • Current Divers License
