Seeking the services of an experienced Sales / Business Development Manager, you will ultimately be responsible for a diverse portfolio of locally based organisation new business and existing account management. Reporting directly to the company's CEO your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • The provision of end-to-end logistics solutions to your client base
  • Identifying new business opportunities through lead sourcing and generation
  • Identify additional business opportunities within the current client base
  • Provide clients with a first-rate level of customer service and support as per company's standards
  • Working with and exceeding financial budget requirements
  • Managing and leading the state in tender processes and deliveries
  • General administrative duties as required by senior management

To prove successful in your new role it is essential that you have proven and demonstrated experience within a freight forwarding background. In addition to this you will also need to prove your experience in:

  • Working with predetermined financial KPIs
  • Solid all-round experience in freight forwarding sales - in particular perishables, sea freight and air freight international service providers
  • Ability to identify areas for new and additional business
  • Proven track record in cold calling via phone or face-to-face
  • Ability to effectively manage your time with little to no supervision
