Sales and Operations Manager, South East Queensland

The role is based in our Berrinba, Queensland office where you will lead the sales and operations team for the South-East Queensland region.

Waco Kwikform Ltd is part of Waco International a leading global commercial and industrial services business focusing on the hire, sale and manufacture of formwork, shoring, scaffolding equipment and associated labour services. In Australia and New Zealand Waco Kwikform is recognised as a leading supplier of scaffolding and formwork to both construction and industry supplying some of the largest commercial and residential construction, mining and petrochemical, civil engineering, and entertainment projects.
In South-East Queensland we have key working relationships with a number of large clients in the commercial construction industry. We also do some industrial and residential work. We are always looking for new ways to apply our products and new businesses to support.
Who are you?
You are a seasoned sales and operations leader who is an active listener, have an energetic and engaging sales personality, with a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.
Your experience includes leading a small construction sales and operations team and managing the day-to-day business of a key regional office.
You have technical expertise of scaffolding and similar products gained from your working knowledge of the construction industry, preferably from working in a similar environment.
You also have a current drivers’ licence and have a passion for doing things safely. You will go the extra mile to demonstrate the value of our service offer and provide cost effective solutions to solve our customer’s needs. You must have some familiarity with working in a unionised environment.
You have experience in growing businesses from good to great. You love to stand out from the crowd and you only accept service excellence from yourself and your team. You are a sales coach who can take your team to the next level but also hold yourself and your team to account. You like to reward and be rewarded for success.
You also have to be able to legally work in Australia. You must also be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
What will you do?
Mostly, you will be selling and promoting our services. You will do this through your own personal network as well through contacting potential clients and arrange meetings to build new relationships.
You will also work closely with our marketing, estimating and central support teams to research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Your time will also be spent increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones, finding and developing new markets and improving sales and operations.
From time to time, you may be asked to attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Developing quotes and proposals for clients is a given and you may be asked to travel interstate or even international at times.
As the local leader, you and your team will be our representatives in the South-East Queensland region.
