Based at our new manufacturing facility just outside of Toowoomba, join our dynamic team at our Composite Fibre Technologies department during a period of business expansion. You will be responsible for managing all engineering and R & D work and following the business strategic plans ensuring the overall technical quality, integrity and adequacy of all projects and design engineering.
The Engineering Manager ensures the highest level of professionalism, meeting the business’ and clients needs demonstrating technical expertise in concepts, practices and delivery. You will be a top-level contributor and technical specialist who can manage teams, problem solve, identify risk and perform complex tasks.
Manage and coordinate the overall scope within a project or multiple projects which include various stages of feasibility studies
Deliver projects within scope, cost and schedule baseline
Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed safety and quality objects
Skills and Experience
Extensive experience in a similar role
Full Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia (MIEAUST) – or the ability to acquire one
Experience in managing risk and providing high level technical guidance and governance to achieve safe outcomes
Experience in delivering technical leadership and consultation to a multidisciplinary team to ensure business and project deliverables are achieved on time and in budget
A leader, focused on continuous improvement, skills development and management
Experience in managing feasibility analysis and conceptual planning
An effective and confident communicator, able to collaborate in an inclusive and supportive culture and able to lead initiatives
Experience Leading, Managing and Mentoring engineering teams in a similar industry and driving deliverables for sustaining capital projects
Running the University CRC-P project at a high level
Flexibility for domestic and international travel
