EGM Partners are working with Starke-AMG on the recruitment for their newly created Commercial and Business Development Manager position. Working across the injection moulding and tooling businesses, a commercial and business development professional is being sought to ensure the company is able to meet their current and future business objectives.

About the role


Working within the Senior Leadership team, and reporting to the Chairman and CTO, this newly created role will lead the business development and commercial requirements for the injection molding businesses located in SA and Vic as well as the tooling business in SA. The role will be responsible for innovating current systems and processes; building relationships with current customers and building a pipeline of future growth. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute the commercial strategic plan for the injection moulding and tooling business units, retaining volume and optimising value from the manufacturing assets.

  • Comprehensively identify customer needs and work beyond the procurement team to craft deep customer relationships.

  • Monitor and analyse market trends within particular customer segments and sales channels and report on critical KPIs.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Embrace and integrate Starke-AMG's purpose, values, and behavioural expectations into your role.


About you


You are an exceptional commercial and business development professional who demonstrates experience in B2B engineering and/or injection moulding environments. You are a diligent and adaptable individual with a strong track record of achievement in a similar role. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excel at building meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders. 


You will possess the following


  • Minimum ten years of experience working as a Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager, or similar role. 

  • Strong financial background and experience negotiating complex contracts.
  • High level of influencing, leadership, and engagement skills, and the ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships.

  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully implement change and convey information to a wide range of team members.

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of demand planning and S&OP processes.
