We are seeking a Business Sales Manager who will be responsible to engage with potential prospects, understand their needs and convert them into new and ongoing customers within sales regions throughout the all areas of QLD - MT Isa and Mackay.

You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be experienced in creating effective sales strategies and solutions in a B2B consultative selling environments .This position requires a lot of autonomy, self-motivation and perseverance to achieve sales targets and Kip's. Travel is involved.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop sales strategies and tactical plans in line with company strategy
  • Establish communication channels with key decision makers in target accounts, educate client on our value proposition and provide key interface role between the client and our tendering team
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and the follow-up of client proposals
  • Prepare for weekly sales meetings with the Managing Director
  • Make monthly, quarterly and annual market and sales analysis reports
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Effectively utilise our cloud-based Customer Relationship Management system to follow sales through to completion

Applicants must have:

  • Sales management training
  • Piping and equipment sales - ESSENTIAL
  • Relevant trade Qualification and technical knowledge in fabrication in workshop environment
  • Highly technical aptitude in piping and piping products
  • Strong industry networks and relationship
  • Mining/water pipeline / gas pipeline industry background highly desirable
  • High level English written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in sales environment, with a strong desire to exceed targets sets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills a must for client relationship management
  • Strong presentation, sales prospecting and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Energetic, personable team player,we need someone who works well with all internal and external stakeholders
