As a trusted building partner and having completed over 5000+ projects in Remedial and Building Defect Repairs, my client is a well known industry leader. Areas of specialisation include providing a broad range of commercial and residential construction from remedial and new build to heritage.

About the role: The Business Development Manager/Team Leader will be driving the sales/estimating team as well as focusing on bringing in new business.


  • Developing growth strategies and plans
  • Estimating and sales team management and resource allocation
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Increasing client base and identifying new client opportunities
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of remedial projects and any applicable NCC and Australian Standards
  • Writing of tender packages and understanding building methodologies
  • Negotiating with stakeholders and presenting to larger client groups
  • Identifying and outlining business strengths and customer/sales drivers
  • Researching market opportunities and viable project income streams
  • Drafting and reviewing standard Contract agreements and associated Terms and Conditions
  • Pipeline management and forecasting reporting
  • Demand creation and developing marketing strategies to support the leadership team
  • Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Marketing/Building, or equivalent 
  • Demonstrated business development and remedial industry experience in Australia and being part of the remedial network
  • Experienced and inspiring team leader with outstanding communication skills and an ability to drive, motivate and coach
  • Sales driven mentality
  • Knowledge of CRM software systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify the scope of works and present competitive construction projects
  • Knowledge and experience of Australian Construction Code and Standards
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills, and an eye for detail
  • Understanding of the remedial client relationships and early engagement scoping
