What will you be doing?
A day in the life of a Business Development Manager for my client will be different every single day – you’ll be able to source and manage tenders, manage a full sales cycle and, leveraging your industry contacts as well as contact you meet at networking events and other functions, generate new business.
You’ll need to be able to manage a CRM and work with project managers and other stakeholders to deliver amazing results. You’ll also need to be able to resolve service issues raised by customers, be able to complete project walk through's (not applicable to all clients) and provide relevant sales reporting to internal stakeholders.

What does the successful Business Development Manager/Sales Manager for my client look like?
My client is looking for a very particular type of Business Development Manager for this role and you need to be able to meet the following to be successful.
You’ll need to have a commercial/residential construction background and established client relationships in the same field.
Someone who is a self-starter and can work independently but also contribute towards a team
Someone who is passionate about developing and maintain relationships with clients but also someone who has a proven track record in winning new business (examples of such would be highly desirable)
Someone with a strong background in sales and business development is a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional presentation skills
Ability to manage a full sales cycle as well as the ability to write and win tenders
