The Role:

Based in our new location, when established in Perth, the focus of the Business Development Manager, WA is to identify new business opportunities in the region across all industries mainly: Mining, Offgrid, and Commercial and Industrials (C&I).

Building strong networks and strategic relationships and lobbying to gain 5B access to strategic business opportunities are key as you build a new presence for 5B in Western Australia and across borders.

Creating commercial partnerships that enhances indigenous employment and gives back to community is also important in how we define success here at 5B.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop a growth strategy for the various sectors relative to Western Australia (and contribute strategically to NT and SA business development in partnership with other responsible BDM's).
  • Leadership of the new 5B business representing 5B at all events and seeking opportunities to partner and sponsor where it will enhance 5B's brand and business growth.
  • Lobbying government and interest groups to position 5B as the no. 1 provider for environmentally sound solutions across the various industries and markets.
  • Generate and/or validate incomings leads through to the opportunity pipeline and convert to sales
  • Engage with current and prospective customers to understand their needs and to align our solutions with such needs
  • Work with Technical Sales team to prepare accurate and timely quotations for customers
  • Maintain accurate reporting of all managed leads and opportunities within the CRM for sales forecasting and opportunity management

Requirements

Are you the Allstar we are searching for?

You will be an Engineering graduate with a MBA or Postgraduate business or commercial certification. You are passionate about renewable energy and have 5 to 7 years working experience in the Energy Sector including Solar. You will have at least 5 years working in a sales/business development role and with well developed stakeholder relationship management, account management and commercial capabilities.

Your strengths are in sales and negotiation, networking, opening doors, lobbying key decision makers and leadership. You will be visionary as it relates to sustainable solutions across the diverse Western Australian landscape.

You will be a team player and possess a flexible, practical and can-do attitude. You will take ownership, be self driven with strong self-discipline and drive for high performance. Your leadership skills are well developed with a strong coaching and collaborative style.
