Business Development Manager: Tanks and Vessels - engineering - Melbourne

Our client is a niche manufacturer of Stainless Steel Tanks, Vessels and Associated Equipment used in the beverage and dairy process verticals. They are considered a market leader in their niche and boast a plethora of case studies with both global Multi-Nationals and local SME accounts. 

They design, manufacture and install their custom solutions which can range in value from $200k up to and beyond $10 million/project.

In Australia they have a stable and well-structured senior management team and are looking to build their market share through increasing their project sales via Design Consultancies, End Users and OEMs with the addition of a project based BDM in Melbourne to focus on building market share with the Dairy and Brewery markets. 

The Role:

You will be based in Melbourne but covering Australia (no more than 5-6 days/month travel) and the focus of your customer base is in the metro area of the capital cities. 

The role is focused on selling to end user and System Integrator accounts, gaining specifications with consulting engineers and then managing the process through with the project team and procurement.

They have a strong brand in the market and often the sale is more about ensuring the client is buying the right solution for the particular application.

As such this is a key role and require an applicant with a good technical understanding of the processes within the Dairy and Brewery manufacturing industries. 

The Candidate:

You will be a seasoned professional, and will have a good knowledge of technical solutions in either the Dairy or Brewery Manufacturing sectors. 

You will be immaculately presented, professional and a strong communicator at both a technical and commercial level.

You will have gained valuable experience in previous roles working towards targets both revenue and KPI based and you will be looking for a large company to offer you a ladder to climb so you can progress in your career.
