What's the opportunity? 

We are currently searching for an experienced and self-motivated Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and GM Water and working closely with the both the technical and sales teams, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting prospective leads into projects. 

Whilst our offices are located in Melbourne, this role can be based at any capital city within Australia, Singapore, or another major South-East Asian city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Technical and Sales teams to develop strategies for conversion of projects;
  • Identify, manage and expand large client accounts (mining companies, partners);
  • Create leads and build a customer / agent network through prospecting;
  • Develop and present effective proposals to prospective customers with support from the Technical and Sales team;
  • Coordination of contract negotiations with Clean TeQ management;
  • Coordinate with Sales Development to ensure a healthy pipeline and future sales growth;
  • Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues
  • Provide ideas on how to expand and improve the Clean TeQ offering based on market feedback;
  • Effectively communicate the Clean TeQ value proposition to prospective customers.

Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years international sales / business development experience, with a strong proven record of success;
  • Background in industrial / water treatment sector, or mining equipment, or mining design solutions;
  • A strong network in South-East Asia;
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills;
  • Self-motivated with a strategic mindset;
  • Required ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent skills;
  • Industry knowledge specific to water treatment;
  • Experience in metallurgy would be desirable but not essential.
