Ultro Plant & Equipment is part of the Ultro Group of companies that includes Ultro Recruitment, a National recruitment consultancy providing blue collar labour hire services though to executive search.

Ultro Plant & Equipment has evolved into a provider of wet hire to a range of build and civil contractors, we provide man power, equipment hire and construction expertise to ensure that our clients deliver a quality project in time and on budget.

As we have achieved and exceeded our growth plan, we are now looking to secure an experienced and talented Business Development Manager to join as a business leader.

The Role

The role is busy and demanding and requires an individual with significant Business Development and Sales experience we are looking for an all-rounder, an individual who understands the Plant & Equipment sector, the challenges of attracting the right type of client within the busy and frenetic construction and engineering sectors, he/she will be a driving force behind the scenes and at the same time lead from the front to identity, drive and win the work.

Managing both internal and external client relationships is essential, you will work within a group of companies, that although separate in their operations all share the same core values of success, growth, integrity and ‘one team’.

This position is all about a partnership that will benefit the growth or your career and the growth of Ultro Plant and Equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead the identification, approach and development and delivery of all client attraction activities (hire, sales, parts, repairs)

Using the CRM to record all activities

Help set and deliver performance targets

Work with other business leaders to maximise network and client development

Help set the agenda to develop policies, productivity, quality and cost efficiencies of plant and equipment operations

What you will bring

Rock solid sales experience in plant and equipment or a directly related field

Demonstrated sales and delivery experience ideally in a management role

Knowledge base / Experience of soil pick up and removal (site dumping etc)

A focus on team first and driven my success and growth

A detailed knowledge of earth moving and associated machinery

Industry expertise, a good reputation and the ability to grow your sales team
