Alternative Engineering is a well-established engineering company specialising in engineering plastics and bottle handling solutions.
We service industries in the Food, Beverage, Packaging, Transport and Special Purpose Machinery and have provided local engineering support for more than 30 years.
An exciting opportunity has been created for a self-motivated and results driven individual to join our team in a business development role.
The main focus of this role will be to identify and develop opportunities and promote our brand to mostly unconverted targets.
The applicant will need to demonstrate experience in researching specific market and product opportunities, identify potential contacts within targeted organisations and follow through with face to face introduction of our capabilities and services.
Essential skills required are:
Face to face sales experience
An ability to pursue new business leads
Strong & proven sale skills
Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Well organised with strong personal skills
Excellent time management skills
Strong PC skills in standard windows and office environments
Ability to travel to regional and interstate areas on an occasional basis
Current Drivers Licence
Other factors which would be benefit are:
Previous experience in sales in an engineering environment
Awareness of the large variety of engineering plastics and their uses
Previous experience in the bottling or food industries
Be able to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
An ability to sketch or draw basic components
