Business Development Manager (Design + Construct)

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join this east coast fit-out / refurbishment design and construct builder 

  • Design and Construct experience is essential – Sydney market. Min 3 years

The Company: 

  • Established for over 20 years and is a privately owned company focus on design & construction projects across fit-out/refurbishment including commercial, hospitality, industrial, and retail sectors.
  • Having built up their reputation in their preferred sectors they now have secured a large number of repeat clients. 
  • The management team have a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise.
  • They are now looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to join a team of BDM’s to continue the business growth within the Design and Construct industry. 

Reporting straight to the Director, you will:

  • Identify target markets, clients and prospects through internal connections, research, business connections and networking, economic analysis and commercial assessment.
  • Create plans for the development of long-term relationships with key clients in order to maximise future growth
  • Gather industry information, develop conversion strategies, manage client and stakeholder engagement, and contribute to tenders and contract negotiation
  • Develop relationships with key industry partners
  • Prepare and manage professional pre-qualification documentation and other expression of interest submissions.
  • Ideally have an existing book of contacts to bring with!

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous Business Development experience in the design space ideally fit-out/construction/architectural industry with a track record of success projects $1M - $15M
  • Building and Construction Industry knowledge with strong client and stakeholder networks 
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding
