The Company

The Company have been around for more than 20 years and are a privately owned, Builder Developer. The market sectors they are currently in are the highest growing sectors in NSW and offer a significant, yet stable growth strategy for their NSW Division. They are specialised within the High Rise Residential sector however over the last couple of years they have diversified within the Commercial New Build Sector.

They are currently turning over $150M and they have put a strategy in place to reach the $250M mark in 5 years’ time. 

The Role 

Working as the Business Development Manager for Sydney, you will report to the Managing Director and work closely with them in growing their commercial new build sector within NSW. You will take a key role in the strategic planning and coordination of all business development activities. 

You will be tasked with further growing the business turnover and capitalisation across education, health, aged care, childcare and automotive industries

Your duties will involve

Build genuinely effective relationships with local authorities and private developers

Identify key decision makers and win new business through networking and knowledge building

Maintain visibility in the market - be effectively present at events, forums, conferences, and other networking opportunities.

Stay ahead - monitor market activities and upcoming opportunities

Maintain strong relationships and open communication channels with counterparts across the business

Prepare and accurately record activity reports and client information.

Key Requirements

10 plus years industry experience in Sydney within the Commercial New Build Sector

Strong experience in a strategic business development role in the building industry 

Strong network of contacts within local councils, commercial developers and other relevant professionals

Proven track record securing large construction contracts through trust and rapport

You will be personable, tenacious and enjoy meeting people whilst developing relationships in a professional environment
