A market leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing business.Projects usually range from smaller to $30m.
Offering a range of services to their high end clients, the company specialises in commercial fit-out and refurbishment with projects covering Office, 5 star Hotels, Retail, Hospitality and Leisure (high end restaurants, clubs, pubs) to name a few. Incorporating a wide range of skillsets, their refurbishment work can have a large element of structural trades, heavy demolition, facades, steel and concrete (adding or removing levels etc).
As Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will be centred around business opportunities including keeping relevant levels of the Business up to date on market opportunities, presenting business ideas to the Senior Management Team and arranging and attending client events. You will also be responsible for certain aspects of marketing and communication for the Business.
Reporting to: State General Manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Managing the budget for Business Development
Monitoring CRM tracking of client activity and ensuring it is done so correctly.
Organising and coordinating project specific marketing and working with site teams.
Completing site tours as required.
Assisting with completing capability statements.
Actively seek out new relationships in target areas for new business
Prepare product offerings for market and ensure expansion of existing products
Maintain knowledge of day to day market developments to assess opportunities
Assess and advise clients on commercial proposals related to services provided
Maintain existing client groups and deliver company profile to potential clients
Co-ordinate and chair weekly marketing meetings
Communicate all business development activity including planned meetings and outcomes / opportunities identified
Manage and coach direct reports in achieving set targets and individual goals
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualifications in Construction, Business, Marketing or Communications highly regarded
Minimum 5-7 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build rapport and relate to all levels
Strong creative flair combined with practicality
Well developed marketing sense
Strong network of contacts within the construction industry
Possess initiative and drive with the ability to follow leads from all sources
Proficient in Salesforce ideal
Proven track record of conversion
