Your new company

Our client are a civil contractor that are already established, experienced and reputable across Melbourne. They offer diverse services to their client base, which encompasses civil services, reinstatement, traffic management and drainage. Working for public and private clients alike, they are perfectly positioned to grow, win new clients and maximise their current clients. As such our client are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help them achieve this objective.

Your new role

Working closely with the General Manager your role as Business Development Manager will be to create and execute a strategy to grow the overall business. Your duties will include:

Identify new opportunities and strategically target new clients

Commercial review - assessing risk and opportunity for future prospects

Maximise current clients by ensuring they’re aware of the full scope of services available

Build and retain new relationships with a range of clients; government, private developers, landscape firms etc

Represent the organisation at networking events and corporate functions

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally we’re looking to speak to Business Development Managers that have an understand of or background in the civil sector. Candidates with a civil, drainage, traffic management or plant and equipment hire backgrounds will all be considered. You will be a personable individual that is driven by results and strives for success. It’s important that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills and of course an already established network in VIC would be preference.
