We are seeking an accomplished, well connected, proven Business Development Manager to join a market leading, multi-disciplined building contractor

Our client is an industry leading Upper Tier main building contractor with a national presence across the major cities in Australia. The business established over 30 years ago and has grown exponentially over that period and continue to set ambitious growth targets based on the success the company has experienced.

The company has proven capabilities across a diver range of building projects including but not subject too: Commercial, Educational, Leisure, Mixed-use, Residential, Retail, Sporting, Governmental, Fit-out / Refurbishment & Heritage sectors.

In light of the ambitious and assertive growth plan, the company is now seeking to employ a new Business Development Manager with a proven track record in similar construction sectors.

Description

The business has existing partnerships across the Commercial, Educational, Leisure, Mixed-use, Residential, Retail, Sporting, Governmental, Fit-out / Refurbishment & Heritage sectors. The incumbent BDM should, however, have his / her own established partnerships to capitalise on and will be able to identify new market segments with commercial upside for the business.

Your roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Identifying market segments in which the business can grow and operate
  • Manage existing client relationships
  • Attend industry specific events
  • Promote the business within existing networks while continuing to expand network
  • Report regularly while maintain open communication with management within the business

Profile

The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience in a similar business development role within the construction space with a proven track record
  • Solve problems effectively and independently
  • Be self-motivate, passionate and be solution oriented
  • Work ethically and in accordance with compliance policies and procedures
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including operation and management teams
