About the role:

Alfagomma is a global supplier of industrial and hydraulic products to many customers, including marine, industrial hydraulics and mining industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced  Business Development Manager - Fluid Power to join the Operations Team in Brisbane. 

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  1. Experience with either SAP or Pronto systems.
  2. Has worked within an industrial environment.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience.
  4. Excellent phone manner and communications skills.
  5. Must have the ability to work well in a team environment.
  6. Must be an Engineer or have sound knowledge of hydraulic and fluid systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists the Exports Manager to develop and implement, 'Key Customer' Account Management programs and Customer Relationship activities.
  • Develop a sound knowledge of the territory/customers and its potential, types of industry and customers, their requirements and other relevant information. 
  • Submits sales activity and forecast reports to the Exports Manager 
  • Develop an annual sales plan, including sales budgets, promotions, and account management activities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of AGA products and their capabilities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of AGA's competitors, products, marketing practices, and pricing strategy.
  • Develop and manage assigned customer accounts to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Management program.
  • Identify and develop relationships with alliance partners.
  • Identify opportunities for increased sales.
  • Assists the Export Manager in developing the Sales Budget.
  • Provides leadership to maintain and implement AGA Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Utilise your engineering experience to provide technical advice to clients.
