Our client needs an experienced applications engineer, with 3-5 years’ experience in business development and engineering. An understanding of the solar industry and knowledge of solar power would be ideal in this role. The job will involve travelling and promoting the brand, following market trends, and establishing strong relationships in the sales cycle. Experience in engineering would be required in order to have a technical understanding of the product.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Representing and promoting Fronius and its products in customer meetings, tradeshows, conferences, seminars, trainings & webinars

Identifying through field research of the local Australian market trends and requirements and then providing feedback to Management

Liaising with all departments and transferring of key Fronius product information and technology with a focus on new products

Development and delivery of product demonstrations and training to both internal staff and Fronius customers. Including collateral development for other department

Developing and establishing a strong relationship throughout the sales cycle, with other stake holders in the industry

Keep up with solar market trends; including opportunities, competition and financial and political situation

Supporting the Sales Director in communication with key customers

Reporting and identifying any technical issues with key accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction

Assistance with support cases via phone, email or in person

Providing expert product and technical support to customers, installers, and project managers.

Visit installers on-site when necessary

Liaise with the following departments, providing technical support and information; managing director, sales manager, marketing, technical support, service and repair centre.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a similar role

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Proven ability to manage a large customer base whilst paying close attention to detail

The ability to prioritise and problem solve

Ability to analyse and develop sales data

Track record of success with a solution-based thinking

Strong work ethic

Intermediate MS Office/Office 365

Microsoft Cloud Applications experience and advantage

Ability to travel frequently interstate

Diploma in Electrical/Electronic an advantage

Hold a current Drivers Licence
