Our client is a specialist in installation and delivery of electrical switchboards for commercial and industrial clients within Australia. They have a reputation for high quality manufacturing, repair and installation.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for advising and supporting new and existing clients to achieve solutions for their business. You will play a critical part in all aspects of the business development process, including qualifying leads, identifying the client’s needs, and closing the sale.

Your key responsibility is to successfully promote companies’ electrical switchboards and expand customer base

 Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities 

Engage with potential and existing clients to develop long term relationships

Contribute to the preparation, design and generation of proposals

Develop sales and marketing material and implement business development to drive business into other verticals – mining, mineral processing etc

Utilising customer relationship management (CRM)software programs

Handling objections with a positive conclusion

Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the companies unique selling propositions

Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met

Effectively communicate the benefits and value of the services to clients and recommend the appropriate solution, supported by our extensive technical team

Contribute to and support the strategic development for the business

Applicants must have :

Advanced communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships;

Proven experience in generating new relationships and seeking out opportunity's with both existing and new clients;

Ability to work autonomously and use strong initiative to achieve goals and KPIs set by the company;

Some experience as an estimator maybe advantageous but not essential

The ability to identify opportunities, services and distribution channels to increase sales

Strong computer literacy including effective use of email, calendar and CRM systems;

Possess an enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive attitude.
