Due to growth and strategic planning one of Melbourne’s premier contractors now requires and experienced Business Development Manager to take a lead role in the business as their Victorian Business Development Manager.
The company
The company has been in operation for over 40 years and has built a name for themselves as one of Australia’s leading civil contractors. They deliver large scale road projects, windfarms, solar farms, bulk earthworks projects for the mining sector and large pipeline projects with project values varying anywhere from $20m- $400m.
The role
The role of Business Development Manager will see you;
Develop and enhance client relationships
Identify projects and develop strategies to ensure tenders are in line with the client’s expectations and requirements
Work with the Engineering Manager and Construction Director targeting specific clients and enhancing the bid management process
Deliver monthly reports to senior management
About you
To be successful in the role you will need an extensive background in the industry ideally having worked in a comparative role with a local contractor. You will be a degree qualified engineer (or equivalent) who has the ability to build relationships and identity clients wants and needs. You will need a proven background of identifying and evaluating key clients which are in line with the company’s capabilities. In addition to this you must be a personable and organised induvial who has exceptional communication skills.
