About the Role:

  • Support the Construction Management in all aspects of contract management
  • Prepare the reconciling and approval of invoices ensuring variations have been adjusted accurately to scope of works/subcontractor invoices and in a timely manner meeting the processing deadlines and coding processes
  • Preparation of monthly Cost to Completes forecasts
  • Prepare and assist in negotiating subcontractor packages within scope of works and budget
  • Record and maintain project document flow
  • Maintain document control throughout the span of each project
  • Manage the tracking and reporting of project expenditure
  • Assist in scheduling and reprogramming of labour, subcontractors, and materials
  • Project Budget interpretation and delivery to site staff to ensure works are carried out to time and fiscal budgets, including reporting to Management and site staff of budgets versus actual
  • Monthly Forecasting
  • Assist the Project Manager with project handover from Estimator including communicating to the teams through to the setting up of documentation and files
  • Assist as requested for building and other statutory requirements
  • Send out subcontractor and supplier documentation
  • Coordinating deliveries to site as required
  • Ensure the development and management of key stakeholder relationships is maintained
  • Correct interpretation of plans, specifications and contracts are understood and carried out accurately at all times
  • Tender estimating (when required), including quantity take-offs, costings, variations, and qualitative criteria
  • Streamline the efficiency of construction project processes
  • Build relationships with new & existing clients.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • 98% accuracy of contract management process aligned to scope of works, procurement and budget
  • 0% site delays caused by non-compliance through building of other statutory application processes
  • Driving of cost saving through effective procurement negotiations
  • Effective implementation of construction project processes/initiatives.

Skills:

  • Contract Administration
  • Construction Management - commercial landscape construction
  • Understanding of contract law
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project), Onscreen Take-off, MYOB and BuildLogic.

Qualifications and Licences:

  • Current C Class Driver’s license - Manual
  • Construction Card
  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Management
  • Certificate IV Building (Contract Administration)
  • Senior First Aid
