The Company

Our client is a construction and maintenance business that has been working with Australian and Global market leaders since the 1970’s. 

Originating from the Gold Coast, but with a strong presence that has stretched to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, they continue to go from strength to strength with a diverse catalogue of services. 

The Role

A significant part of the business is the “New Build Construct” division which is a EBA and Non EBA painting business which services Tier 1 and Tier 2 Construction Companies and Developer Builders in the South East Corner of QLD.

Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to increase revenue and margin in this space.  Working closely with the Estimator and Managing Director you will;

  • Target Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction companies to create opportunities to tender all future works in both an EBA and non EBA environment, depending on the contractor.
  • Be tasked with targeting high margin opportunities and creating long standing relationships with new customers.
  • Service existing customers and look for opportunities to create more revenue.
  • Be office based (Southern Brisbane Suburb) with regular travel across SEQLD

About You

  • You will have extensive B2B sales experience in the Construction industry and ideally be currently selling to Tier 1 Principal Building Contractors
  • You will have extensive experience interpreting and reading plans, builder’s scope of works & schedules etc…
  • You will have a full, clean QLD drivers license and be willing to travel around construction sites and head office locations around SEQLD for client meetings.
  • You will have superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have worked for a large painting subcontract business, however anyone working in a similar capacity for any sub trade or supplier to will be highly desirable.

You will have an excellent remuneration including a salary of up to $135k + Super + Performance-Based Incentives + Company Car + Fuel + Tolls + Phone + Laptop.
